Her and Murkowski were expected and now we wait for Mitt but I believe if they don't vote and they get 50 votes its still a done deal.

We can afford a few traitors but not many unless we grease the wheels and get 1 Indy Affiliation Members Republican Party 53 Democratic Party 45 Independent 2 Total 100 That would be a 50-50 tie if they abstain or refuse to vote. The President of the Senate then votes to breakt he tie. That's some guy called Mike Pence, I believe. Any guesses how he'd vote?

If Collins, Romney and Murkowski are all not voting until someone is elected in November, the Democrats only need 1 to convince another GOP Senator to not vote and it's sunk...that's the risk of trying to ram this through...and there's plenty of fence-sitting GOP Senators in tough races
I guess if you believe the Dems will cheat no matter the situation, then you mine as well nominate someone and start the process...

Exactly this. Those republicans dragging their feet are delusional. Those Republicans dragging their feet are the reason Democrats have walked all over them for the past two decades.

Exactly. Get real conservatives so they don't have to put up with this every time on a big vote.
