Can Trump sneak one in? Might be anarchy x 100 if he tries this close to election. It does mean more importance of election

Regardless of what side of the political spectrum she fell on, I do believe she deserves a great deal of respect...a very influential and historical figure...
As far as Trump "sneaking in a Supreme Court nomination", there's absolutely no way the Democrats would allow it and it would create anarchy...
It will perhaps become one of the top items that will influence voters this coming election and Trump should absolutely tout his record so far...both of his two Supreme Court picks haven't 100% sided w/ the "Constitutionalist" judges (Clarence Thomas, etc). Gorsuch in particular has sided w/ Ginsberg on a couple of issues over the past year, so it's not like Trump picks extreme judges who will only judge one-way...
That being said, if there's one thing that can "unify" Conservatives and allow some to "plug their nose" on Election Day and vote or Trump, it's voting for a candidate that will ensure a Supreme Court Nominee that will not try to legislate from the bench...I'm sure there were plenty of voters in 2016 that did exactly that: plugged their nose while they penciled in Trump, simply because of his "conservative"/"constitutional"-leaning Supreme Court picks...

Remember the Kentucky AG Daniel Cameron from The Republican National Convention? You may be looking at a possibly Supreme Court Justice if Trump is re-elected....

If Trump wins I've also wondered if an older guys like Clarence Thomas would consider retirement.

This also could be key for GOP candidates for the Senate, too....if the Senate flips to "blue", then it won't matter if Trump wins the election - there's no way they will allow his nominee to go through, regardless of who he chooses...
