WisconsinVike, The short live span in all dogs is an ass kicking for sure. In the last nine years I have rescued three shelter dogs that were close to the end and no one wanted. Was not any chore or noble move because they were great, truly awesome individuals. Not the prettiest in some peoples mind but neither am I. Now I have my Mommas dog, 15 year old Bishon/Japanese Chin named Belle. For a long time I couldn't have a dog, but now that I can its a matter of how many to get, not if I am getting one or not. Shelter came through every time except for my Mommas dog, which was store bought. Dogs thrive up here. Thank you for giving a poor, forgotten soul a loving forever home to live out the rest of their lives. You are a good person in my book.

Thanks He was mine, I had to put him down last year just before Christmas. His name was Giovanni - Gio for short He was the 7th Rottie I have owned in my lifetime. Absolutely love the breed! Hate the short life span!!
I am sorry for your heart breaking loss. I had to help my almost 10 year old Rottweiler named Thor cross the Rainbow Bridge about 3 years ago. He developed diabetes and it caused his hips to go bad. I have some of his ashes tattooed in my arm with his picture, name & years alive. I, and you, may be somewhat partial but Rottweilers, to me at least, are the best breed of dog a person can have the pleasure of owning. A very strong, loving breed that has a terrible reputation because idiots do not treat them right or understand the breed. We have a lot in common my friend! The first Rottweiler I ever saw was named Thor, and I also had one named Thor!!! He was actually the only one I didn't have to put down. He lived to be 13 years old and died in his sleep. Gio made it until he was 10, all the rest went between the ages of 4,6,6,7,8. Like you I think they are just a phenomenal breed.

My poor pups have to listen to my ramblings and clean up all the deer bones!! I run a tight ship!!!!

My Kidd has a Rotty Bull Mastiff mix named Otis, 165lbs of AWESOME! Only person I trust to protect my daughter better than I would, still he is a sweetheart of a puppy!

I keep coming to this thread looking for training camp updates.
It's crazy how little info is out there right now and no preseason to argue about the back up QB's, camp superstars, or complain about the depth.

nodak: I don't think the media has had access to the training camps so what information we get is from coach/player Zoom intereviews so far (Kubiak talking about the OL, Patterson talking about defending Shamar Stephen's play, etc). ESPN Viking's reporter Courtney Cronin mentioned this morning via Twitter that she will finally get to see the Vikings this Friday:
Also, I found this on the Skol Reddit site: Vikings 2020 1st Rd rookie WR Justin Jefferson goin' down a grabbin' one off the practice field turf:

He was a 165lb brute as well. He was a big baby. He was the best dog I ever had! I lost him at the young age of 6. Poor fella stepped in a ground mole tunnel as he was running and making a turn, blew out his ACL. Had surgery but he got an infection. Vet put him on antibiotics... he had a reaction and his kidneys shut down. It was like losing a family member. It took me years to get another dog. He went everywhere with me... walks on the toe path along the Potomac, hikes through the mountains, etc... I used to put a ball cap on him when he rode in the passenger seat of my truck... got quite a few double takes😂

My Momma's pup is about twenty pounds and 15 years old. We walk all over the mountain, weather permitting I take her everywhere, my shotgun rider. My Kidd picked up this ramp for Otis to get in her Jeep, brings him over all the time and he bitches when he has to leave. You know what it takes to get a big boy like that to move! You have to shame him actually! Reason with the big, beautiful intelligent Son of a Bitch! Belle and Otis walking the trails is the sight, btw. Football? I was kinda lit, but the edge dulled bit. That rymes, and I'm still drunk, what H?

It's not 100% crystal clear to me that #64 is playing LG in this picture because we don't see all the details (QB could have rolled-out or #64 could be the LT there or it could have been a play-action pulling play where the RG pulls over to the LG spot to block on a play-action pass). Also, #64 on the Vikings website is listed as Blake Brandel ( link)...Ezra's # is listed as #72 and I don't see #72 in that picture anywhere.... ....but I'll take this individual's word for it.... It's interesting that Ezra is seen here at LG when the word last week after the Kubiak conference call was Ezra auditioning at RG...

If you click on the picture it takes you to the twitter page. By zooming in you can see #72 next to #64. So by that Ezra was at LG.

Not sure why they couldn't have that be the original image so we can clearly see #72 beside #64 there... It's still interesting that last week Ezra was talked about being in contention for RG and per this pic it appears he's batting for LG...or it could simply be that Kubiak and Zimmer are auditioning Ezra all over the place...
