Wow! Huge bad call imo. I understand leading helmet rules but it looked to me like he got him with shoulder moreso.

OSU looking tough GoTigers Won't matter. Neither one of these teams have anything for Alabama.

Herman got fired, though he’d get another year lol. I don’t see this as a good hire. He did ok at Wash and crashed at USC. Texsa is a high pressure job too.

Looks like Texas wants to joins the 21st Century, too, like LSU and 'Bama...they need the recruits first, but it's probably a step in the right direction for them...Oklahoma has out-recruited them for a while now and pretty much dominated the BIG XII....

His firing at USC was other than for coaching. More personal.. I can see the choice for him.. But Pruitt is under fire at Tenn also.. no guarantees.

Big 12 went 5-0
Wonder if Purdy would be a good mid level qb target?

Texsa is a high stress job with a lot of booster influence, not a good place for recovering alcoholic imo. Austin is a big party place

Big 12 went 5-0 Wonder if Purdy would be a good mid level qb target? No thanks...he regressed this year after having a real solid 2019. Although he can escape the pocket, his decision-making outside of it isn't the best. I fear his small stature and decision-making may hurt him. The first game I watched this year was Iowa St vs. Louisiana-Layfette and Purdy was putrid: less than .500 accuracy, 0 TD and 1 INT. I've been trying to find a mid-Rd QB prospect I can get behind and I'm just not finding one I like. I didn't like Ridder or Daniels from the Peach Bowl game...I don't like Kellon Mond from Texas A&M (watching him tonight in the Orange Bowl) - he's just too inconsistent and I don't see any Dak Prescott out of him...I can't get behind Mac Jones because he's got all day to throw behind 'Bama's OL (although I do like Mac's 77% compl - I just don't know if that's the result of NFL-level WR talent, though)... The one guy I haven't evaluated yet who's making some waves on some "expert" draft sites is Nevada's Carson Strong - a big guy (6'4") w/ a rocket arm who will need some development, but has some tools to work with. He's a redshirt SO so he can come out...I need to see more of him but I'm intrigued...

The Purdy that ended the season in the Fiesta Bowl is certainly not the one that played that first game. He may have been putrid in that first game but now that would not be accurate.

gophersturf10 - Sam Howell is not eligible for the 2021 Draft. He's widely considered to be a top QB prospect for the 2022 Draft. greylock - besides today's game vs Oregon, the only game I watched of Purdy was that first game. When I look at this stats and game splits, I see inconsistently throughout 2020 after a real good 2019. His 2019 season and preseason "hype" was what had me watching that lone game to start the season, but when the lights shined brightest this season vs Ok St and Oklahoma in the BIG XII Title game, he didn't step up. Although he does have solid career accuracy figures, I see a bunch of small dump-offs and WR screens and not many pro-style throws. Looks like his ceiling is NFL backup, which is what I see for Kyle Trask, too. Neither one I want to draft to be a future starter.
