Well, 14-0 and 'Bama's offense is just as unstoppable as LSU's was last season...
This one is pretty much over...

ND is going to have to take a page from Bilicheck's defense and take away the opposing team's best player - DeVonte Smith. They'll have to double him because he's that good... 'Bama has many other weapons, but at least don't let Smith beat you like he just did...open field tackling is also going to be really huge... ...and ND can't come up empty on offensive possessions...'Bama's defense isn't too great - Florida and Kyle Trask were able to move the ball at ease against them - Ian Book and the OC need to realize that ground-n-pound isn't going to work....they need to win a shootout type of game to try and pull off the upset... Then N. harris takes over

I started cooking dinner when it was 14-0...I did watch ND's first TD drive - long one down the field and relied on their solid OL which really looked good. LG Aaron Banks looked real good on that drive - he's a mid-Rd prospect I'd like the Viking's to consider, even if he isn't a traditional zone blocker.
I came back to the came at the end and was a little surprised it was only 31-14...
I think ND could have had the game closer if it was the old 'Bama that relied on their trench play and didn't have all the skill position players on offense...ND's OL was real good...
...but I've mentioned this over the past few weeks: credit to LSU HC Ed Orgeron and 'Bama HC Nick Saban for recognizing the college game has changed and you need to score points to win now, and they've adapted and you see the results...
Zimmer could learn a thing or two from those two "old school" HC's....

In tonight's game I looking forward to Clemson OT Jackson Carman and Ohio St OG Wyatt Davis.
Ohio St CB Shaun Wade was my draft crush last season, but he hasn't had a good year as an outside CB - he's a nickel CB at the next level. If Wade plays the outside, let's see if Lawrence targets him.
Also, I'm paying attention to the Ohio St LB's - if we dump/trade Barr to get out of his contract and choose to keep Eric Wilson, I think we draft a LB in the 1st 3 rounds so I'm interested in we can find a Fred Warner type LB in Rd 3, and the Ohio St LB's could be an option - specifically Pete Werner.
