I’m conservative. I’m a Trump fan. I hate racism. I love the Constitution. I own a gun. I hate government. I don’t like the ORGANIZATION BLM. I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with the phrase “Black Lives Matter” and don’t believe that that necessitates racism or evil. It is ok to hurt and cry out, and it’s ok for others to come alongside and love. I don’t believe in reparations, I don’t believe I am directly at fault as a white male and I’ve had many African American friends I’ve learned a lot from. Yes all lives matter. And as a subset of that BLM. And so do Native American Lives, and many more. America was horrifically wrong in many choices we made as a nation. Why I stand by her is that she has the pieces in place to continue to grow, learn and prosper. Her spirit is good. I’d die for that. The Native American was tragically discriminated against, We came to the country, we took there land, we killed off there people, if you are not familiar with.read the trail of tears. It was horrific....They got a few casinos as reparation. f tears.... it was horrific. It was wrong the way they were treated, but we stopped them from killing each other.

But keep in mind that’s like an alien race coming here way more advanced than us, wiping out the majority of human kind and then saying “yes what we did was bad, but we stopped them from killing each other.” Sorry. America needs to own their mistakes and not be the person who says “yes I’m wrong, BUT...” just own it.

We do own our mistakes, if eliminating the "peculiar institution" to the tune of 100s of thousands of Americans dying constitutes owning up. This country has done more good than harm in the world if I am asked. Black lives damn well do matter in America, more than most any other country.

The trail of tears, I can’t imagine what those N.A. Went through on that long walk. They were kicked out of there homes, forced to move to a strange land, watched there families die of starvation and sickness, walked over a 1000 miles, promising the large financial aid which they never paid,..well until a few years later.. badger er I am not riding you, I have no doubt you know, i did my genealogy DNA,..Ancestry, and Heritage, found no Native American blood in me.... but I feel for those N.A.s. But on the other hand... we can not go back in history and change those wrongs, as stated, Traill of tears was horrific. Slavery was horriffic, wrong.. mega thousands gave the ultimate sacrifice during the civil war, THERE LIVES. For there freedom, to try and right that wrong... unfortunately many have not healed from it, Didn't one famous person say something like. Why can’t we love each other... Rodney King,,,

Rodney King,,, I feel for all of those who suffered in the past. Deeply. That doesn’t mean I believe in reparations or think living in the past or making victims out of people today is right. I believe it’s wrong and manipulative. BUT, I also don’t think as a conservative I should have a nonchalant attitude about the past either or act like it wasn’t THAT big of a deal. No, it was THAT big of a deal. But there have been horrors on humans of different races and societies through all of recorded history also. We have to move forward and learn from our mistakes.

We've come along way in this country haven't we...so far, in fact, we're at the very beginning of the Civil Rights movement because we're now back to separate rules for people based on the color of their skin.... linkOregon county orders whites to wear masks but says black people can be exempt
In a directive last week, health officials in Lincoln County — which is 90% white — said all white people must wear face masks in public in order to stop the spread of the coronavirus. However, the health officials said “people of color” don’t have to wear masks because of “heightened concerns about racial profiling and harassment due to wearing face coverings in public.” “People of color” is a blanket euphemism for black people. The ACLU’s ReNika Moore confirmed that face masks are a sensitive issue for the black community. “For many black people, deciding whether or not to wear a bandanna in public to protect themselves and others from contracting coronavirus is a lose-lose situation that can result in life-threatening consequences either way,” Moore claimed.

America needs to own their mistakes and not be the person who says “yes I’m wrong, BUT...” just own it. I'm not saying we shouldn't own our mistakes. The problem however is many act as though what we did was somehow unique, when it was just the opposite. Nations are built on expansion and conquest. That isn't to say it's right, but we are no more "evil" for what we did than any other country that has come before us.
Lets also not forget that it wasn't like we invaded a campfire singalong. The indians were brutal to each other and were not innocent. If we are to be held accountable for our sins, then so should each and every tribe that had taken land from another before the US was established.
You won't hear the left say that because that would make it harder to destroy this country an reshape it into they utopia.
To be perfectly honest, I'm rather tired of hearing how bad this country was and is while every other civilization gets a pass. We've don't more than any other country to atone for the wrongs committed and it's time for people to start telling these leftists to take their guilt and stick it.

Rodney King,,, We have passed laws outlawing discrimination. We've allowed Indians to run casinos enriching many while the same rights are not given to many other citizens. They are given a certain level of autonomy in governing their reservations. They are afforded minority status and all the benefits for education, loans etc that come with it.
I'd like to ask what other conquered people have been given all this. We'll never erase what was done, but no one can claim we haven't done more than enough to make up for it.
I'll be brutally honest. If it wasn't for us, someone would have come and it probably would've been much worse. The creation of the US most likely kept them from being totally wiped out by a less friendly foreign power.

Does it make it right? Nope, but even the native people fought back and forth over this land before the Europeans came. I truly think the grand experiment of a nation within a nation failed miserably. Why because too many took advantage of treaties on both sides. And it still happens today. Like it or not Slavery was not invented in the US. It happened long before and actually in some forms still happen today. We cannot change the history and certainly cannot erase it...but we can learn and make changes to prosper. But to do this across the board would point out very deficient ideas like Communism, Marxism, Fascism, Socialism all have issue to the one thing our Democracy and Representative Republic does well, give you a chance to prosper from the efforts of your labor. We need to refocus on the Representative Republic part though as our leaders have become entrenched and now believe they are a higher order.

As mentioned above, our founding fathers had many faults, but what a miracle to have so many brilliant people at one place, at one time and being of essentially the same mindset. As a nation, we are bad asses, enjoy a good scrap and sometimes really shit on folks. What makes us great is that we face up to our issues eventually, head first and balls out. We damn near gut ourselves trying to get it right, but try we do. On one hand I would like to see us cut all foreign aid for a year and invest in ourselves; education and infrastructure mainly. Then I think about Doctors Without Borders in Yehman trying to save underage "brides" and realize we cant just stop. A great country with a conscience.
