Why do they insist on reinventing the wheel? The NCAA system works almost seamlessly. I like the NCAA OT rules better too.
Goodell is a TURD.

I personally don't like the idea of "unlimited challenges" as opposed to the current challenge rule of two challenges per game and possibly a third if the first two are "won". The reason being is that it creates/adds a unique coaching and decision-making "wrinkle" into the NFL game - sort of akin to professional soccer games only allowed to use 3 subs the entire game. Coaches need to actually manage this and the ones who tend to manage it better seem to be come out on top - it allows for the "cream to rise to the top" so-to-speak. The more you equalize everything, the less advantages can be gained by "better" coaches.
It also seems somewhat silly to me that the NFL and Goodell would even entertain this idea as it runs counter to the letter he sent NFL fans last week regarding attempts to improve the TV & live-game experiences by limiting interruptions. Even if they're considering getting rid of the replay "hood" and going to the headset (more of an NCAA-style approach, which is significantly faster), any time saved with that measure will just be nullified if you give coaches unlimited challenges, and it could possibly cause more interruptions.

The game's too long already. Let's not prolong it any longer with more challenges.
