I think I'm going to like this guy! I bet he's going to hate the uniform change, but absolutely love the change in venue (so he doesn't have to play on a damn baseball field).

What I don't' get is looking at these highlights, the guy looks ok but slow and doesn't look like he uses his size. Doesn't run anyone over and Asiata may have more open field moves. But when you look at what he done at the combine compared to AD he should be just as good or better. Murray's 10, 20 and 40 times are better and he looks slow in those highlights, in the open field he gets caught. His vertical and broad are less so he isn't as explosive but watching recent game tape of both, AD's feet are still quicker and he is an "old" man compared to Murray. I hope the guy does great but I am not expecting anything out of the ordinary with this guy. If his 1 or 2 catches a game and those 2 or 3 blitzes he picks up a game help the Vikings win I am all for it. But I can see why he was available, got basically a 1 year prove it deal and was not a hot commodity in free agency. The Vikings definitely need to draft a back if they want a difference maker at the position because as of right now they don't have one on the team. L Murray AD

L Murray AD I looked the combine measurables after he was signed too. He was definitely the faster and more agile guy, but you can tell by watching them (in their primes) that he isn't as fast or explosive. His open field moves are nothing to write home about either. But he seems to follow holes and be a fundamentally sound back. The key here is he's relatively cheap, no strings attached after this season and he's a 3 down back. That alone makes him better in my book since that money can (and actually WAS) put to use in better ways like signing quality OL to give the RB and QB better protection/holes.
