Perhaps for a possible Rhodes extension later this summer....
Plus, there's some a little bit of work to do in Free Agency before the Draft, IMO.
- Possibly more secondary: I know Zimmer did recently come out and say Alexander has first crack at the slot CB position, but I see zero downside of signing Nickell Robey-Coleman. Plus, if you have a veteran slot CB there like Robey-Coleman, Alexander could float to the outside after this season behind Newman. - WR: you know the Vikes will add somebody; Streater, Boldin, Floyd, etc. - OL: Austin Pasztor is still unsigned and there's nothing like decent depth at the OT position. I could definitely see this as a hedge against Remmers stinking up the joint and not trusting Sirles or Clemmings as adequate RT backups. - Backup QB: thought Sanchez would have been a possibility given his familiarity w/ Shurmur in Philly, but they probably have to bring in another veteran arm at some point.
Plus, there still may be some cuts coming as teams continue to trim down and it's always nice to have cap space on-hand to get the first crack at anybody that could help.

Pasztor would be a nice backup...and he's played both Guard and Tackle so he could be a Mike Harris type of backup. I'd like them to pickup somebody like Keenum to backup Bradford...but it might be tough to get someone to want to be the backup...with the potential of Bridgewater showing up at some point in time. I saw something that said that Robey-Coleman had visits planned and Minnesota wasn't one of them. I found that surprising. Maybe Jerraud Powers instead?

I wonder what is coming.... Rick is not big on doing these types of deals unless he needs the money for something else
