I don't know if anyone has posted these on this site, but I just did one that could really vault this team forward on fanspeak using CBS rankings. fanspeak.com/ontheclock/draft.php?d=yyztul48: R2P16 G FORREST LAMP WESTERN KENTUCKY (best OL in the draft, could play all 5 positions) 79: R3P15 C PAT ELFLEIN OHIO STATE (athletic but smallish center, I'd play him at C) 86: R3P22 WR CHAD HANSEN CALIFORNIA (vertical threat that can high point the ball) 121: R4P14 C ETHAN POCIC LSU (I'd put him at OG and keep Elflein at C) 129: R4P22 CB BRIAN ALLEN UTAH (6'3" corner project with great athleticism to develop) 160: R5P16 TE GEORGE KITTLE IOWA (6'4" 245 lbs H-Back type TE with 4.52 speed & good blocking) 199: R6P15 WR RYAN SWITZER NORTH CAROLINA (slot/PR - or KD Cannon for a deep threat) 232: R7P14 EDGE TASHAWN BOWER LSU , (developmental DE with good size)Then there's this one, which I did with no trades, but I almost traded up into 2 so I could get both Shaheen and TJ Watt. I do NOT go for grade, I take who I like best. first-pick.com/NFL/DraftGame.aspxYour score is: 9782 (GRADE: C) Your Picks: Round 2 Pick 16: Adam Shaheen, TE, Ashland (B+) - This guy could be a matchup nightmare like Gronk, which is why I took him over TJ Watt. In real life, I might trade a 3 and 4 to move up to get Watt as well if he lasts until mid 2. Round 3 Pick 15: Ahkello Witherspoon, CB, Colorado (B) - A 6'3" corner who led the nation in PDef. Getting Newman's replacement a year early and replaces Munnerlyn's depth. Round 3 Pick 22: Chad Hansen, WR, California (B) - Vertical threat that can high point the ball. Round 4 Pick 15: Chris Godwin, WR, Penn State (A-) - Too good to pass up. Great ball skills and hands, not real dynamic but tested well. He had a dominating game late in the year that really impressed me. Round 4 Pick 22: Brian Allen, CB, Utah (C) - A 6'3" corner to develop, he's a raw project was a converted WR. Round 5 Pick 16: James Conner, RB, Pittsburgh (A) - A bit redundant with Murray maybe, but he's a good power back. Round 6 Pick 15: KD Cannon, WR, Baylor (D+) - I took Cannon over Switzer this time since I'd already drafted 2 WRs that weren't pure burners. Round 7 Pick 14: Tedric Thompson, SS, Colorado (C+) - Tied with his teammate Witherspoon to lead the nation in PDef.

I LOVE your first draft; I've taken Pocic and Elflien (both) in a couple of my own. And Hansen (WR) is growing on me (which means he'll be popular with teams, too).
If we're going to get a low-ranked RB, I kinda like Hill (Wyoming).

If we're going to get a low-ranked RB, I kinda like Hill (Wyoming). I knew that first one would be really popular. I like very few OL in this draft, but I got amazing value with 3 of the 5 that I would draft in this one (the other 2 being Ramczyk and Bolles). Hansen surpassed Kupp as my favorite WR in this draft a while back....at the combine I guess. I had to see how they moved and Kupp didn't move as well as I would've liked. I could've had both of them in the 2nd draft. In 3 though, not 3 and 4 like I did with Godwin and Hansen. Brian Hill was a guy I looked at since he was available and I was wanting to draft a RB. But I'm not that familiar with him and I liked the other guys better. I'll have to check him out more sometime.

If he wasn't a thug, a RB like him along with Jones, Elflein, Butt, Bisnowaty and maybe Marcus Maye would be nice. That's a TON of 3rd rounders! lol

I'm willing to give the kid another chance. Lord knows how tempted I've been to punch someone else (yes, even a female) in the face. I didn't do it, of course... but I probably had a different experience growing up than Mixon did. If this was a pattern, I'd be right there with you. But I can chalk up one incident to bad judgment and the heat of the moment. Then again, maybe I'm a thug too...

That just makes me that much more likely to stay away from people from a certain environment, not excuse them. Btw, it is a pattern. It looks pretty clear to me he has serious anger management issues and it doesn't take much for him to explode. He simply kept it in check better the 2nd time around, that we actually heard about. Doing something like that is something I never would've considered doing because people like me actually have consequences for our actions. We don't get a pass because we're star athletes. Now he did get suspended for those things, but if he's like that when he's a broke college kid (assuming), just imagine how much that will be amplified when he's worth millions.

Jayme, You might be right about it being a pattern with Mixon. I don't follow college football much (as a Gopher fan, it's just easier that way).
That being said, we've seen folks "around here" fly off the handle and say things that they (maybe... probably should) regret. But- on an anonymous internet forum- there aren't any consequences. I guess that's why I'd be wary of comparing Mixon to "we". No, I haven't fought with the cops or punched a woman... but I'm not perfect, either (not that I'm saying that perfection is necessary before you can be critical of others). Like I said, you might be right; in that case, I agree: we don't need the head-aches.

I would too. It would complete the team, and give us really good players too. The only thing I don't like about it is we only add 1 DB in this draft that is LOADED at DB, and the one I do take is one with a ceiling like Rhodes, but he's a project. You can't get it all in one year though I guess. Pick your poison.
