Pro days, looks for #1 thing how fast from point a to point b when its time #2 how they interact(listen pay attention) with players/coaches
going to Mich. St, Ohio St. and Ohio
Joe Mixon, met with him, just got a feel for him, good visit, how he is going to change, etc.

Couple comments on what P1 posted above: - Floyd; is there any way for the Vikes to file a grievance w/ the NFL to get that cap space back? I realize protection for players, but there also has to be some protection for teams, as well. I think this should be brought up and discussed when it comes to the next round of CBA talks. Floyd can basically sit on his butt for the 2017 season waiting for his "leg to get healthy" and collect the $6.7m. At least the Vikes signed D Jones to hopefully fill-in the pass-rusher on the inside of the DL spot. And this should serve as a reminder to our Front Office and scouting departments on Draft Day - when a guy falls like that, you better have done your research before scooping him up. I'm wondering if there were warning signs that he was "lazy" and injury prone during Pro Day/Combine interviews. - Toxic environment; even though the phrase Ellison's dad used was clearly over the top (aka, "toxic environment"), I still believe there was something out of whack w/ the players and Zim last season, and it just wasn't the injuries. Zimmer even spoke at the Combine that he spoke with players after the 2016 season on how he could have handled things better - check out this article on PFT: profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/03/13/zimmer-got-input-from-players-on-how-to-improve/. The good thing here is that Zimmer isn't as much of an egomaniac that he wouldn't listen and change somewhat because it does sound like a guy who is willing to admit his own faults and change himself for the betterment of the team. We've seen it with the example of talking w/ players like that article mentions, and we've all seen the reports that he's gotten more "hands-on" w/ the offensive side of the ball - lending his defensive mind to Shurmur's plays and how he would attack the offense from his standpoint so Shurmur can adjust. I'll give credit to Zimmer for adjusting himself and hopefully this season the results are better, but regardless, I think it's apparent that things were clearly not alright during the 2016 season. - Alexander first crack to replace Captain; well, that answers the question on Robey-Coleman or going after any other slot CB left in FA. I'm wondering who the backup to Alexander is if he can't handle being the starter - Newman? Waynes? I really would have thought a veteran slot CB player like Robey-Coleman would have really allowed Alexander to freely flow from the outside CB position to the inside because he can play both. I love Newman being back, but at his age, I'm not sure he has the speed and quick-cutting needed for that slot CB position - I can't see Newman gaining inside leverage and cutting off slant routs; I see him more knowing where to be to prevent big gainers and not a true, shutdown slot CB like Captain or Robey-Coleman. This is a big question-mark going into the 2017 season and if Alexander doesn't pick it up quickly, this is an area where teams could exploit us - much in the same vein as Luck and Indy did last season where he used the TE's as the inside, slot receivers and we couldn't match up. - RB; could get one deep in the draft? " Deep in the draft"? If there's a solid guy there in Rd 2 (Mixon, etc), why not pick him then? I'm slightly concerned that we're going to settle for a "lesser" player vs. a solid RB prospect because it's so deep. McKinnon is on his last year of his rookie deal and Murray can be cut after the 2017 season if he doesn't work out - we really do need to draft a solid RB for the next 4 years on that cheap, rookie contract and I'm not sure a RB in the 6th or 7th is going to be able to "cut the mustard", regardless of how deep a draft class is.

Didn't we hear a couple weeks ago that he was finally healthy? Or am I thinking of someone else?
