I think the major mistake the western left makes is the idea that western liberalism is the best and most enlightened philosophy for all. The western left is extremely ethnocentric and falsely believe that once introduced to our western liberal society, these foreigners will become "enlightened" and shed the beliefs and worldview they brought with them. This more often than not proves to be false, and more often exacerbates the preconceived disdain many of these refugees have for the US and our way of life, resulting in even more tension.

Is it really?  Is it any more insane than you projecting all that crap you think about them on all refugees?  Couldn't it be equally likely that Maslow's hierarchy of needs is more important than anything else to these people.

I know a lot of shit you read and hear scares the shit out of you, but it is way less prevalent than the haters would have you think.  As smart as you are I am surprised you cannot see through all the shit.

Kramer, Within any set of immigrants there are surely good and bad. Can we agree on that? Why are they putting many of them in the plains states towns like Fargo-Bismarck? Where there is no similar culture like the twin cities or elsewhere. The FBI says there is ISIS infiltration in all 50 states so are they wrong? I have no problem with people coming here as long as they have the right intentions, and that is to assimilate INTO our country not try to make us like their homeland. What exactly do they ADD to this country?  Can you answer me that?
