Perhaps they can finally look at Beachum....
The 1st two LT options on my personal "big board" are still out there, too - Whitworth and Reiff.
It might take a huge offer to lure Whitworth from Cincy or maybe he's just not moving, but Reiff is definitely available because there's no starting OT spot in Detroit for him anymore. The teams that lost on Wagner (Texans, Bears, Bills, Vikings, as well as possibly the NYG) will all be in on Reiff.
We know Rick has interest in Okung, but honestly I'd rather look at Beachum first and check on his health....

I see it as both good and bad. Good he won't suck for us again, bad we need bodies at tackle. But Rick better be dealing with somebody today.

Finally we're rid of his stupid ass. He might very well have a pro bowl season too, but I don't care. I'm sick of wasting cap space on him year after year and he either isn't playing (last year) or he sucks because he's supposedly healthy yet simultaneously playing with an injury once the season was over (every year but his rookie).

Carolina has a more mobile QB, so if the edge rusher blows by Kalil on the left side, Cam has the ability to step up and run. Although Bradford can run a little bit, that's not his game; so Cam and the Carolina offense can "mask" Kalil's shortfalls more easily than we can.
Still though, if the reported numbers are accurate, that's a high price to pay for below-average LT play - even when healthy.

damn are you telling me they couldn't beat that offer by the rams seems like nothing to give someone for 3 years until they find a better option in the draft next year.

The options right now at Tackle:
Beachum (LT) Okung (LT) Clady (LT)
Reiff Remmers Pasztor
Otherwise, we better hope Rashod Hill turns a great game into a career.
Edit: I guess you can add Fluker to the list as well

Good luck w/ that Carolina...
I'm not down at all with Kalil taking that contract down South because I don't believe he'll ever be anything other than a below-avg LT, maybe league-avg is they're lucky. But what I am down on is that it's looking like we'll have to pay that much or more to land Okung - someone who may just be at Kalil's level.
Still hoping we find out more info on Beachum....and Reiff is still viewed as league-avg at LT, too....
