“Make you voice heard” Yet its obvious they want players to vote Dem. And its the Dem run shit hole cities and states where all the major problems are. Not one Pub in Minneapolis yet they burned the city down and fired the police dept. So lets keep voting the same shot policies in office and expect a different outcome. Thats what chaps me about these sports pimping voting, the Dem bosses continue to use them like slaves to keep their offices. And players are so blinded by it.

This is what happens in collective bargaining when it starts spreading beyond business (i.e. pay and benefits). Good companies rely on collective bargaining to establish and maintain a stable system of pay and benefits while reserving the right to establish and implement work rules unilaterally. The NFL owners are idiots. They've done this to themselves. They should have nipped it in the bud with Kapernick. If they had issued a rule that prohibited individual protests during the anthem (with penalty of not playing that game and losing a week's pay), than we never would have gotten to this point. Most well run businesses prohibit political actions on company time, for good reason.

He makes $44m per year! My main point is the league uses players to get voters out and those players will push for Dems, so even though its not said openly its inferred that teams will help Dems get votes by registering. I gaurandamntee you if it helped Pubs they would not be doing it. Thus its Dems using players like slaves to drum up Dem votes on the backs of their name recognition. Its sickening actually. Just play ball. Go out on off days and knock on doors or whatever.

Yeah, this whole thing backfired on the NFL owners. Their business model has basically been:
a) assume the core base of fans will watch regardless b) grow overall viewership by adding other elements (beyond the game) that will draw in the fringe viewers
"b" is what has driven cancer awareness months, armed forces weeks, stupid SB halftime shows, "personality" announcers who drift into all kinds of crap beyond the game being played, etc.
I'm all for honoring the armed forces. I'm dubious regarding the value of the cancer awareness (most are aware at this point), but see no real harm or distraction in it. Beyond that, "b" starts to ruin the viewing experience and is now impacting "a." That's what hit them hard in the pocket books week one, and I see no end in sight. Had they not let it get to this point, they would likely be doing fine. Now, if they try to rein it in, they'll generate a huge amount of negative publicity, which will hurt not only ad revenues (companies won't want to buy ads during the broadcasts), but also merchandise sales, etc. They made their bed. Let them lie in it. I respect and support you guys who are refusing to watch the games. I'll likely be watching less simply because they've killed my interest in the whole thing. Last night's battle of Mayfield and Burrow was actually pretty entertaining (although Aikman and Buck drove me nuts as usual).

Whats fucked up about all of this is if you just flip everything. Racism has no place in society and it shouldn't be tolerated. But just think if there were all these "white" initiatives and how they would fly. What does this have to do with racism? The voting rights act has been in place since 1965 so for 55 years anyone of any color should be able to vote without issue so why the need for this? Talk about pandering.
Illinois is just pushing the vote by mail bs and while I haven't gotten anything my wife has gotten several things in the mail. Just got something 2 days ago reminding her she hasn't requested a ballot yet in 5 different languages besides english WTF.... If you are a US citizen and are able to read and can't read english you shouldn't be able to vote. Its just pathetic.
