Plundering, did you see that your boy Baker Mayfield said he’ll stand for the National anthem?? He said kneeling just causes more division.

Plundering, did you see that your boy Baker Mayfield said he’ll stand for the National anthem?? He said kneeling just causes more division. He did, I posted it earlier. But I’m not sure what to think yet. I commend him for doing it publicly to avoid stories afterwards. But will he wear a criminal name on helmet? What else might he do related to marxist movement. Its too early for me to like him again, need more info and actions. If he still follows marxist movement then he stays dead to me

Part of the fun of watching college football for me is watching draft prospects, so yes, I do subscribe to the notion that "It's Never too Early"...
So in terms of the 2021 Draft, I did watch a non-Power 5 player that I'll keep an eye on for the rest of the season and the 2021 pre-Draft process: Western Kentucky DE/OLB DeAngelo Malone. The Louisville Cardinals played them last night and even though the Cardinals don't exactly have a great OL, Malone was everywhere and really dominated in a way that stood out. He's 6'4" and 230lbs-ish so he might fall in that J Holmes "tweener" category, but if we move on from Eric Wilson this coming offseason, Malone could be a guy to target in that Day 2/early Day 3 range.

The only way the AP made Louisville and Miami ranked was to hype next week's matchup between the two...Louisville is probably a "fringe" Top 25 team which I'm absolutely fine with, but with the lack of matchups between Top 25 teams, they need to create something to draw fans, especially with the lack of BIG 10 and Pac 12 teams....
Also, I think it's kind of awesome to see Army ranked....maybe even App St at #24...

Lol, Pac players finally waking up what the hell took them so long? Their states and colleges don’t give a shit about them it was all political why their governors locked down states and college presidents never fought then over it. Players are just pawns in this political game

I bet the Michigan governor just loves Trump's tweet. Too bad Ohio St. already had two of their best players opt out.

And one of those Ohio St players that opted out of the 2020 season - OG Wyatt Davis - should be someone the Vikings target in the 2021 Draft (yes, "it's never too early"). Here's what The Draft Network's Kyle Crabbs had to say about Davis's decision and NFL potential the other day ( link): "Wyatt Davis definitely made the right decision in making himself available for the 2021 NFL Draft. Davis is a pro-ready interior blocker who provides the kind of tone-setting play that will make him a very popular prospect. Regardless of your scheme, attitude up front is a universal asset and Davis’ play offers plenty of it. Had Davis been in this past class, he’d have likely been IOL1 and a top-20 selection."
PROS: Wyatt inherited the natural skill for the game; he's fluid, powerful and offers impressive body control to apply overwhelming force from any angle, regardless of whether he's flowing with outside zone, double teaming a NT, or peeling back late to absorb a gap shooter from the second level. He's seamless in transitions to pass off defenders in pass protection and does well to sit up on his hips; allowing his lower body power to anchor his play.
CONS: Positional value may loom as a sticking point for where his draft ceiling may be, but you're hard-pressed to poke significant holes in his game based off of his resume in 2019. Consider him a true universal plug-and-play starter regardless of the system, although his athletic ability probably yields a higher ceiling in zone heavy concepts. The Vikings should be looking at QB, OL and interior DL in the 2021 Draft - each and every round.

We will be too good this year to go qb in draft. We need to tank next year and will have qbs to pick like Rattler. Use this year draft to focus on lines

We could start another thread about 2021 Draft Prospects to separate that from discussion about the 2020 College Season...one of the reasons I tend to watch college is looking at the prospects for the next Draft season and whom would fit in w/ the Vikes... Ohio St OG Wyatt Davis seems like a good fit...Oklahoma IOL player Creed Humphrey was projected to be an early Rd prospect in 2020 if he declared, but this May 2020 article declared Humphrey the best 2021 interior OL prospect ( link). If the Vikes are still running Kubiak's outside zone scheme in 2021, Humphrey probably doesn't fit the Vikes so well because he would probably work best in power blocking schemes, and it could be one reason Dru Samia didn't win the RG spot over Elf to start 2020 - Samia doesn't execute Kubiak's outside zone blocking scheme as well as Elf does. I've always said that you need at least 1 OL that you need to run behind in short-yardage situations and to take on strong DL o the other side. When it comes time to drop back and pass, our "athletic" OL get bullied and shoved back right into Cousins' lap more times than not. You need to have the right balance between athleticism and being able to pull and just straight-up blocking your guy across from you (whether it be through angles, leverage or raw power).
