That makes sense. Could not believe Fleetwood Mac or Nicks weren't in.
I saw that Whitney Houston was up as well... Should be a shoe in.

Since my surgery I pulled out my old ipod and been listening to my playlists on my daily walks. Listening to this stuff has reminded me what a farce the R&RHOF is! It's supposed to be the Rock & Roll hall of fame not the Rap Crap or R&B hall. Let those genres start their own halls. Any org claiming to be the Rock hall without the likes of Bad Company,BTO,Steppenwolf,Jethro Tull,Blood Sweat and Tears and many more from that era can't be taken seriously! IMO the hall is politicized like everything else.
While I was walking the other day Grand Funk Railroads cover of "Inside Looking Out" popped up on my playlist. I had forgotten how good those guys were. Growing up here I was fortunate to be relatively close to many venues the biggest bands in the 70's played during their tours and I caught a lot of em. Having said that, I'd put Grand Funk Railroad in the Top 2-3 groups I've seen live. I saw them in '76 and they were outstanding! Mark Farner doesn't get anywhere near the recognition he deserves as a guitar player and frontman!
Here's their live performance of Inside Looking Out from 1969. Mark Farner is only 20 years old here, the talent is incredible!
Maybe GFR has never been nominated for the hall because of Mark Farner's politics? He's a Christian and a staunch 2nd amendment supporter. This song was on their Good Singin' Good Playin' album in 1976.
