NFLN: Who Starts Week One, Murray or Cook? link

I think this is a silly argument...both will likely get significant playing time. It's a little like AP's rookie year with Chester Taylor...who starts is irrelevant. I would expect Cook to start...because it's first down. I would expect to see Murray in a third down passing situation.

Murray will start the first half of the season, Cook will take over in the second half.
Zimmer typically red shirts rookies and I doubt will start Cook week one.

Chances are, whoever starts, it will probably be a run up the middle...........

Murray will start, Cook will get touches even in the first game imo. Starts will depend on pass pro and of course how he runs.

I think the third pre season game will tip their hand or decide it outright. Cook's ball security will be under a microscope

pass pro will be the key to early playing time for cook. But I doubt the Vikings traded up to let him sit on the bench. Then again, they are the Vikings....

Chances are, whoever starts, it will probably be a run up the middle........... They'd better don't! I agree with the thoughts in the thread. It will not matter who starts in the beginning of the season and hopefully we will see two back sets to get as many weapons on the field as possible. Never understood the aversion the Vikings had to that set. I also know that if they telegraph their play calls by what players are on field... expect a quick start and then a long season when teams get enough film. Being predictable will not get you to the playoffs.
