Been shopping around for guns. First priority is tactical shotgun and AR. (Please don’t bring up home defense...I got it...pumping a shot gun is a deterrent. That’s not what I’m shopping for...I have a handgun for home defense...) So the guy educated me on my shopping needs and said in his opinion start with an AR that’s basic. Something like a Smith and Wesson thats 450-550 bucks and then set out to customize it to fit YOU. That too many spend way more and end up with a big name gun ans you’d be better off having two guns for the money they put into it. If I can get a tactical shotgun AND AR and customize the AR I’d be better “outfitted” then dropping $1600-1800 on a Cadillac AR version. Thoughts on his logic? Appreciate your feedback folks. I agree 100% The wonderful thing about the AR is it' modularity, the high priced ones do generally have a great fit and finish with good triggers but you are often paying through the nose for that and a bunch of cosmetics and heavy marketing. Get a good functioning AR and another needed gun and with the extra money. Over time you can add/improve to the AR as you identify what you feel suits you from the wide array of accessories that swap effortlessly. I'd rather have a $500-1000 dollar AR with $500-1000 optics/trigger than a $2000 bare AR. JMHO Yes. If you have a $500 gun with a $500 scope you have a $1,000 set up If you have a $1,000 gun with a $100 scope you have waisted the guns potential If you have a $100 gun with a $1,000 scope you have waisted the scopes potential My believe on matching scopes for guns, spend as much or a percentage more for the scope pending the guns value

Had to get my first tactical gun ASAP and based on what was available, what I could afford and had solid reviews was a Garaysar MKA-1919 Semi Auto 12 Gauge. www.2ndamendmentwholesale.com/garaysar-mka-1919-match-pro-semi-auto-shotgun-black-12ga-20-barrelI have two five round magazines but want two 10 rounds to add and want a grip handle for the front. Struggling to find them online. Any suggestions are welcomed! I can find magazines but not a grip. Hopefully they make ones that can work on this gun.

That was fast! So it’ll fit my specific gun? I know it says any but just asking lol I looked at the picture in the link you left. To me it looks like it has a picatinny rail. Somewhere in the paper work it should sat what kind of rail you have. The two major areas where the picatinny rail differs from the weaver style are the number of slots, the slot placement and the slot dimensions. the basic difference between the weaver and picatinny slot dimension is that the picatinny has a slightly wider, and slightly deeper slot The foregrip I showed you works with any picatinny-weaver

Gah...any suggestions?

In the picture from your link, it has rails those are what the rear and fronts sites are connected to. Also where the front site is there are rails on the side for lights and laser and one on bottom for foregrip

The military in the early 1980's had M16's made early on in their life cycle. At Ft. Knox, these were some tired guns by the time they were used for basic training soldiers. I was one of them. I didn't like the fact that we only had 3 opportunities at the range with limited ammo, maybe 40 rounds in all - before qualifying started. I missed Sharpshooter by one point. The badge for it looks kinda neat, but i wasn't good enough to earn it. I could hit all far targets down range because the black targets popped up and when they did, your peripheral vision would hopefully catch the tricky ones, which i was focused on mainly, because i knew the 300 yard one was going to pop up soon - that i missed the 20 yard one right in front of me behind some tall grass that "gets everybody" and they lose out too. I have at least 50 stories i could tell on my basic training time spent at Ft. Knox. Here's a short one. After failing to hit all the targets during the qualifying, i was ticked off enough to not maintenance my weapon like everybody else did, rags, cleaner brushes, oils etc. Nope, i got naked and took it into the shower and took it all apart and used the hot water from there to clean all the parts i knew i could get clean with hot water, like, the barrel, spring, the plunger thing the spring rides on.. maybe something else. I had my rifle inspection clean and oiled properly within ten minutes, and i got a shower too. That day was the last day we were able to fire the M16 and had to be returned in usable condition. For most everyone else, it took them at least an hour to get theirs inspected and passed to be returned.

Why were they based in NY to begin with They've been an organization since 1871 I believe. New York wasn't always communist.
