I'm no fan of China. I do understand their importance to us though. Kinda hard to hate someone who is your biggest lender internationally. I hate that too much of the American buy now pay later philosophy is funded by them. Borrowing money is how we fund our lifestyle. Privately as well. Sooo...They're borrowing the money we spend on the useless disposable crap they make. I hate you...can we borrow another trillion? We need more of your crap and we reached our credit limit. Sad how we act like spoiled kids wanting an advance on our allowance.

I miss that party.

All things China destroy the earth. If them guys are not ashamed of what you're doing to the environment why are so many wearing masks? China is still making more coal powered plants. A few years back they were putting a new on on-line at an average of 1 every 2 weeks. They also don't use emission scrubbers like our plants do. Hence the masks they need to wear.
CoalSwarm published a report on September 26 warning that 259 gigawatts of coal power capacity – equivalent to the entire coal power fleet of the United States – is being built in China despite government policies restricting new builds.
However, China’s coal power capacity already stands at 993 gigawatts, leading CoalSwarm to warn that the sector’s resurgence is wildly out of line with the Paris Agreement, which commits countries to limiting the average global temperature rise from climate change by 2 degrees Celsius above the pre-industrial period.

Great. America's coal industry should come roaring back then. Can't wait. But I will. Holding my breath.

I have no problem with China being a super power and having an equal seat at the table... .every country should have a seat at the table... and as such they should all be matching the US in % of GPD that gets spent on international efforts like peace keeping and humanitarian efforts.... if these other countries want to be treated as an equal... then they need to be able to be counted on as equals financially.

You don't want china to be a superpower. They are still communists and don't believe it personal freedom.

if they are willing to pay their fair share... they are entitled to their seat at the table. its not the job of the US to be the ruler of the world... that mentality is why we are so hated in some parts of the globe and generally viewed poorly in the rest. We have the muscle but we dont always need to use it.... not to mention it would do our bottom lines some good if A. we are better loved globally and B. we dont have to provide an overwhelming amount of the global security through out tax dollars. and as far as believing in personal freeedoms... the good ol USA doesnt seem to be waving that flag very hard any more either.
