Jayme, I used to not follow soccer. Then my son played at 4 and he was hooked. It still took me a long time to understand what offsides was. Once I learned the rules and strategies it was fun. He played all the way thru HS and won a state title. One of his fellow friends/players got a full ride scholly at Notre Dame and then was drafted by NE Revolution. My son didn't play in college he was acually focused on school and girls lol. He has a high tech job now.
The one thing I told him in grade school is if he had homework he had to do it before practice. I told him he could focus more in class or do it at recess and then while other kids were home crying due to homework he could go play soccer. It made a difference and he was a straight A kid because he did not want school to imterfere with soccer.
Anyways, I went from knowing nothing to watching EPL and UEFA cup. By the way tomorrow there are 2 good UEFA cup games on FX1 and FX2. These are the best of the best in world clubs playing in a months long championship. To some it means more to win this than World Cup.

USA Women's National team versus Germany. It will be great. As a side note, you know those krauts let a lot of refugees in their country.........time to kick their asses. Just a little joke. Lol well maybe I'll tune in just to see if any of the girls are good looking. Germany is tied for my 2nd favorite country, since that is where most of my ancestors came from in the 17 or 1800s. that's the best part of Womens soccer, there are some very good looking ladies playing.

To some it means more to win this than World Cup. I went to 1.5 soccer games at the high school level here. My nephews were playing. My oldest one, around 6 years ago I suppose, was playing and I decided I was curious to see it so I rode with my parents over an hour, close to 1.5 hours, one way, to watch it. I was not impressed. Part of the problem was visibility. No bleachers to sit in, so sitting on lawn chairs where you couldn't see much action. You could just tell some kids were running left chasing the ball, then they were running right chasing a ball. The 2nd time was right here in town and I went to see my younger nephew play a year or two ago when he was 13 or 14. I had a touch of a cold and I have pretty severe allergies to freshly cut grass. That entire complex must've just gotten mowed recently. So I left after the first period. The game sucked and I felt like shit. I decided I was done with that sport then and there lol.

Yes yes, not bad at all! But are they built like dudes with big bulky quads? I like long, skinny legs. American athletes very rarely do it for me. Too muscular. Not feminine enough for my liking.

American athletes very rarely do it for me. Too muscular. Not feminine enough for my liking. Many have some big quads and the nice round glutes to match but there are many that also have longer leaner look like Alex Morgan-the brunette. Julie Johnston is pretty built but not really masculine. To get an appreciation and understanding of all the 'running around' you have to watch from a higher vantage point or good wide angle camera shot. There is reason for all the moving off the ball and the passing backwards rather than up field attacking. It's much more interesting when you understand the strategy behind those things.

One week to go. Who's watching? Got my DVR set already. Nice thing about soccer is no commercials to skip except at halftime.

Coin flip: commercial Kickoff: commercial Touchdown: commercial kickoff: commercial TV timeout: commercial Punt: commercial Timeout: commercial Injury: commercial End of quarter: commercial Coaches Challenge: commercial Two-minute warning: commercial Halftime: tons of commercials wash, rinse, repeat...

Egads. What a shit show that was. I know Jill Ellis is working on a lot of stuff but yuck.
Hopefully Short and Long back there at the Back positions to give them reps for backup roles. We really need Klingenberg and Johnston in those spots so we can see what this new system can really do.
Last firkin place? So much for my thread.
