So, my Turkeys kinda caught up to me. I am just drunk enough to take some firearms to the range, or talk shit around here. Of course I will go shoot, we cling to our guns and Bibles around here so Hussein Obama said. Jk about shooting while drunk, who needs any mind alteration when you are throwing mega rounds downrange?!? Anyone have a few hundred rounds of .308? My AR-10 hasn't been out for about a year and that thing is fun to shoot, yo have 500 casings around you before you know it. I have just a few rounds above a thousand, a weekend at best... Any particular gun you guys love to shoot, and why do you like it? With all the weapons I have, when it comes to a rifle for deer I go to the Savage 110 because it always answers the bell, fits into my shoulder just fine and the bolt slides like its on its own. For range work its all about semi-auto or pistols, I half suck at pistol work I'm afraid. Sig Sauer makes a real fine M-4, a gun monkeys dream to break down and their version of the Colt .45 auto is just outstanding. I ALWAYS am buying more rounds for these guns, ALWAYS. But THE favorite for me now is the SAGA semi auto 12 gauge!!!! Driving my buddy crazy wanting to use it all the time, but its a dream busting up filled water bottles with it and old stumps, just disappears in front of you. It just chews through shit. With money saved from no football I am getting one and two tons of shells to break it in this fall. BTW, I am the best shot on this board. Its true, just accept it. I have...damn handsome and a real badazz too

I cant be the only guy who compensates for my lack of girth by embracing the phallic qualities of firearms! Kramer!!! Whats your favorite firearm? I bet you are a wheel gun guy?!? I am, if I have to pull a pistol I want simple fail safe mechanisms and big, fat, slow moving projectiles.

I have...damn handsome and a real badazz too my Turkeys kinda caught up to me. I love the Turkey. Only on the rocks or neat. Anything else with it just distracts from that smooth warm flavor. yo have 500 casings around you before you know it I'm not that guy. Any time I fire more than 10 rounds, I am sighting in a new gun, or a new scope, or both. With all the weapons I have, when it comes to a rifle for deer I go to the Savage 110 because it always answers the bell, My all time favorite rifle in my life, after the .30/.30 I killed my first 12 deer with, was my Savage 110 .270. Dead on balls accurate. Gifted it to my son when he left the house because I love him so much and he loves hunting so much. Biggest regret of my life. My new favorite hunting rifle is my Winchester Model 70 .300 WSM. Never pulled the trigger on a game animal and had it take another step. Not one step. Two favorite guns for fun are my A17 and my DPMS .308 I love driving about 20 nails into a fence post to different depths and seeing how many heads I can shoot off from various distances with the .17 My current best is 17 at 100 yards 18 at 75 yards and all 20 at 50 yards. The .308 I never expected to love. Got it as a gift from my son because "I want you to have a chance to live is shit hits the fan". Accurate as shit and can pour out the rounds, if that is your thing SAGA semi auto 12 gauge!!!! Winchester pump is my upland gun. Winchester SX3 is my waterfowl gun. If I pull the trigger on it, it dies. Don't hunt with a shotgun for the sport of it, there is no sport if every shot equals a kill. I hunt with a shotgun for the exercise. BTW, I am the best shot on this board. Its true, just accept it. Bullshit. One shot, one hit. If I miss twice with any of my guns, something is wrong with the gun or the scope. That is a proven fact. damn handsome and a real badazz too ME TOO.

Not sure about the phallic aspect(would probably deny it if pressed) but there may be something to it. Hope this one goes on for a while. Way more fun than others I have sunken into lately.

I joined the army in 1981.. they gave us worn out and heavily used M16's to shoot with at the range.. Once i had mine sighted in, anything within 300 yards was an easy target.. anything farther, then you'd have to aim! If i remember correctly, Fort Knox range only had targets as far out as that. At 17 years of age, my eyesight was perfect and the drop down targets never stood a chance with this rifle. The ease of assembly and tear down of this rifle was impressive, and it looked cool too, with the angular shaped hand guard on it. If i had a choice between a mint M16 or M15.. i'd go with the old school M16 because it's a rifle you can fall in love with easily. I learned right away that owning firearms after this - would be somewhat of a disappointment for me, so I never bought any weapons up until i decided to get a Remington .22 with a scope that shoots wonderfully too. After getting the .22 sighted in, i have't been to the range since. I've shot many rifles and pistols over the 40 years since basic training, but my fondness for those old iron sights still flip my trigger.

Overpaid but I wanted it and my buddy is reretting it! .223 rounds is pricey!

That is a proven fact. damn handsome and a real badazz too ME TOO. I KNEW we weren't all that far off! Turkey and ice, no fillers is THE ticket. Gets the job done no fuss plus the Wife can tolerate my jokes better with Turkey. The Saga isn't a hunting gun, but it is "fun" to shoot, a concept I cant quite explain. My Dad taught me quite young that fun was found in the woods and streams, and going to the range with him was tits up!! But anyway, the Saga is for bored aging fools to waste my Kidds inheritance on. She has some range-rat in her anyway. Music theory degree, Black in Aiki-jujitsu and can kill and dress a deer. She too good for her dipshit boyfriend, but girl has my eyes from days gone by, blows me away with her pistols, just smokes me! I love it, she can handle herself in a tough world, earns a great living. I did something right, in fact the most important job I had I feel I did ok. Parenting is the hardest, most brutal job you will ever love!!! Guns for me are like the martial arts and drumming I attempt; designed to take my edge off, don't want any BP meds. About ready for some medical weed though...pass that shit already!

If I had guns.... I'd love to shoot my great grandfathers, which was passed to my grandfather, to my father... Winchester 1897 16 gauge pump shotgun. Made in 1913 or 14, there's just something about it that I really love.... If I had guns that is. Also my SKS shoots pretty nice too.... if I had it. Difficult to pick a favorite one to shoot as they all do different things. ...that is.. if I had them.... which I don't. ...It was the one armed man....

Of my guns I like my DPMS in .223 and .204. Damned good prairie dog slayers to way way out there. Of my pistols I like my Colt Pythons. Actions are smoooooth as could be. About 6 months ago arthritis has really taken the fun out of life and has limited my shooting enjoyment. So a wheel gun has replaced my CCW carry pistol because I can't work the slide on my semi-autos. Sucks ass water.

About 6 months ago arthritis has really taken the fun out of life and has limited my shooting enjoyment. So a wheel gun has replaced my CCW carry pistol because I can't work the slide on my semi-autos. Sucks ass water. I just never felt real smooth working a slide, so the wheel gun makes more sense to me. If I am backed to the point where I need to pull a gun the less to think about the better. That said, I own more autos than anything, more fun at the range. For some reason, my psyche needs the wheel gun in the clinches when its all layed out. Usually the Colt 686 4 inch barrel. Giving up considerable knock down power from the .45s, but fits more places better......and a .357 gets attention anyway. Depends what drugs an asswhole is on. So there ya go, love the .45 round but usually carry a .357. Shoot a good amount of the .357, but far more through the autos. So there are some of us like you, except for different reasons. Anyway, keep that hammer on an empty cylinder, of course.... I think I am still drunk.....?

I only have one pistol. Some Russian something or other. LOL, I only have 12 rounds for the damn thing and I've kept it next to my bed for the last 30 years to protect me if I should be awakened by intruders.
Even more ridiculous than keeping a gun I haven't shot in 12 years next my bed for "protection" is the fact that I don't even lock my doors. I must be retarded.
Truth of the matter is, I don't like hand guns. No matter how careful I am, I am constantly terrified I am going to accidentally shoot myself. With a long gun, it is easy to keep the business end away from any of my vitals or other parts(some of which I highly value, talking to you Frankenstein). With a hand gun I am so stupid I would be staring straight down the barrel in no time at all.
Sorry if I disappointed any of you. But I have little to no use for a side arm.

If its an auto, its probably a Sakarov I believe. More importantly, if it is a clip fed auto the springs on the clip have probable "set" if you will, lost their pressure to load the next round and could most likely jam. That's why I like revolvers, but I am way too OCD to not have changed out my clips, or not feed them to capacity, usually both. I just don't want a jam should I choke on the first shot; pucker factor should be planned for. Sucking your drawers up to your sinus can surprise you for a quick second! No disappointment, you should always stick with what feels good foremost. Pulling a weapon is a serious commitment, you don't want any mistakes.

In all fairness, I did say I dare you.

Ruger redhawk hangs on the headboard. Even if she misses the muzzle blast would be enough to set the bedroom on fire. Wifey cant work the action on the Sig 227 so thats on my side.
