This is the first time I've heard that asthma is an underlying concern with respect to COVID for a young healthy individual. Probably just as well, since we'll have him for one more "real" year. This season is shaping up to be what amounts to a sixteen game preseason. Maybe that means our 23 rookies and rookie FA's who make the roster will see more action (not a real number, just sayin....). I believe that's one of the underlying concerns that have been stated from the beginning, whether true or not. From the CDC below...again, take with a grain of salt... www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/need-extra-precautions/asthma.htmlRisk of Severe Illness from COVID-19 People with moderate to severe asthma may be at higher risk of getting very sick from COVID-19. COVID-19 can affect your respiratory tract (nose, throat, lungs), cause an asthma attack, and possibly lead to pneumonia and acute respiratory disease.

^^^ I respect your right to watch it. But me and millions are going to sacrifice this season in hopes of eliminating it next year and all the years after. The only way to make change is to not watch and therefore not give TV ad revenue. If I own a company and want to pay $1,000,000 to run an ad and am promised 1,000,000 viewers will see my ad - and then I find out my ad only reached 500,000 - I want a reduction in the cost of that ad. When all advertisers ask for this reduction it means TV gets way less money. TVs problem is they gave NFL x dollars based on assumed viewers. When TV is now spewing money (giving NFL $100 and only getting $50 from advertisers) they have to go to NFL and say their cost model is broken and need go reduce how much they pay. NFL says wait you signed a contract. TV says yes, but we can’t sustain or we go bankrupt. TV says: You have 2 choices. 1. Stop all the SJW stuff so viewers will come back. 2. We will have to opt out of our contract and pay the opt out fee. This will leave NFL no choice but to fix problem, getting rid of SJW crap. Its the only way to fix it. This also bleeds over to fantasy football too. All the ads they run online if you use NFL or ESPIN or Yahoo site for FFL. You click on site several times and daily upkeep and updates. If I stop playing they have less FFL teams set up and it means less clicks and less money for site owners like NFL and ESPIN. I love sports. Its gonna be hard. But I’m doing it. Thunder played pre season games already and I have no idea how they did. If I see a tweet then I would know but I have not pursued it. I might check out tweets but no more. No going to website or TV. If we keep watching they will keep force feeding pol to me. PP - I understand that point and like I said, I won't be watching on tv, rather I will be streaming it. I don't think the way I stream provides money to advertisers, but I could be wrong. Each time there's a commercial it goes to a blanks screen from my memory. Either way, it's not directly tied to my computer, so it'll still give me the chance to see the Vikings play. As I mentioned, I'm pretty hard core/extreme with my "policing" on sports and what is watched in my home. I will not watch a game that Alabama college football is aired, even if they are playing your Sooners...sorry man. I won't watch LeBron at anything...he truly was the co-conspirator to all of this crap that has escalated into "me...me...me...look at me!!!", IMO. That said, I cannot deny my 7-year old (who doesn't understand or care to understand BLM and other movements) a chance to watch his love of basketball on a daily basis. He thrives off it and is always talking about the players and who's who and if I "know him" and whatever. If it gives him love and makes him want to be better himself at the game, I cannot deny it. This will also happen with football come fall, I can guarantee it. Thus, we will stream the Vikings, but that's pretty much it. You know my stance on these matters and the funny thing is, you keep posting Twitter articles that I have already read (I don't post like you) on Twitter myself and have already shaken my head. This is just freaking bonkers...

Don't forget to cancel the Sunday Ticket by Friday if you are going to. Self-important athletes coupled with covid opt outs have all the makings for an "I don't give a flying..." of a season. Will be the first I missed since being home long enough to get the value from the ticket. I love my squad.

I e had it in previous years and maybe watched 2 games per year. I might still call and cancel though.

The bullshit has really gotten to me for some reason, and I usually don't get worked up behind things I cant control. I will have an empty Sunday to butcher and move my tree stands this fall. I am one messed up dude in that I find enjoyment in cleaning and maintaining my gear, so more time to enjoy that. While it is my decision I feel forced into it, weird dynamic....I know I will miss the games at times.

I am doing everything to get the NFL 2020 season out of my mind despite reading headlines from time to time. I learned to live without soccer the last couple of years (too boring) strictly watching no games anymore aside from 3rd league. Professional sports is on a decline anyway. But with political incolvement added no more interest to follow this shit. I still cannot imagine getting excited about Viking games played in front of empty seats. Nooooooooooooo - better cancel the entire fucking season pleeeease. Hey politicians worldwide: how about pulling the plug and shut the whole social life down FOREVER. We are so close already..... what an insane world this is.

wmpurple,, I have always been a bit on the anti-social side of things, keeping to myself on a small piece of heaven I am so grateful to have. My point is my outlook is validated by all this chaos, so I feel ahead of the game for once. Anti-social, insular asswholes RULE!!!!
