Sharpe has been somewhat of a disappointment, but it's no big deal for me because we didn't pay much to get him; only giving him a 1-yr deal at $1m, with only $675k of that $1m guaranteed. If he gets released, then the dead cap hit is only $675k - still stinks somewhat but it's not a big loss considering the minimal investment and we have other WR's who have stepped up - mainly Bisi and even Hollins. I will say that Samia not beating out Elf for RG is more disappointing...Samia was a 4th Rd draft pick (mid Rd draft pick is a solid investment) and we really needed him to step up for our interior OL to improve....now that we're relying on Elf and Dozier as starters, we have to hope like heck Bradbury improved his pass protection from his rookie year to stand a chance... Samia was injured early as TC got underway so hopefully he continues to improve as the season goes on and perhaps if Elf gets injured or is playing horribly then Samia can go in and show what he can do....but at this point, yeah, Samia is the biggest disappointment so far I'd say.... My take. Yes, I am a Samia fan fair disclosure. I do not trust our coaching staff when it comes to oline. Its been year after year of failure. And they go with vets to reduce penalties yet how can a new player learn? The new player might be better yet create more penalties but once they learn the penalties go down and you have a better younger player. Last year Samia played vs Bears 1 defensive unit and graded out really strong. Yet now he is trash again? I just don’t trust this staff with oline. We settle for mediocre instead of young talent. This is a transition year with Diggs gone and Cook always hurt. JJ has not gotten the best marks. Adam will be smothered meaning we become one dimensional running team without AD. This is the year to play Samia and let him grow so next year he is really ready.

I agree, 3 position changes and how many chances does Elf get or deserve. Its time to cut bait with him and put the young guy in. Same with the defensive line, what has Hercules done to keep his roster spot, which many projected final rosters have as making the team. The last half of last season he wasn't even active! The coaching staff gets attached to certain players and will allow that player to suck their entire rookie contract without ever having competition for playing time. Cut his (Hercules) ass and give Lynch a chance to grow and learn. Same with Elf, cut his ass and put the young guy in (Samia) and let him grow and learn.

But Rick must have more and more late round picks!!!!
“I want more” is his mantra
Instead of trading up!

I so thought he would break he trend this year and move up and, like a team in a micro-rebuild?, go heavy on the linemen. Flesh out the trenches already, its worth putting in those draft picks imho. Guess what? We didn't.

With this 53-man unit, obviously many will be pit on the larger 16-man practice squad...but we will be adding a vet safety--- you do not go in with two safeties TOTAL --- I do not care if they are a great duo. So one or two guys from the WR and DL groups likely should not get too comfortable. Beebe should not even be fucking there at all, so we grab a safety, we can say goodbye to Chad.
Frankly, WR: Theilen/Jefferson/Bisi/Osborne/
Those four are there...frankly, might be better elsewhere to add a fifth...otherwise, keep Sharpe as fifth WR. The one guy is purely a special teams guy...he will not be a true WR...but Beebe is a joke. Hollins and Davis offer upside...hopefully can be kept on practice squad.
The main arescas usual with me...our OG...and the lack of trying to improve. Why not go add Pugh from the Cards?

2 QBs and Safeties only?
Why did Stanley not get a spot?
This roster looks like a 5-11 at best.

I really don't some of the 53-man roster picks (Chisena being the top one) and then keeping a K and 2 QB's on the PS...especially over CB Nevelle Clark who allegedly had a strong Camp....
