The only reason I can see Bret Jones making it is that he's the true backup C to Bradbury...they did give Dozier some C snaps this past week, but perhaps they didn't like what they saw. Think it would be better if Bradbury goes down to slide Elf over and put Dozier at RG and Collins at LG.

Will Ragatz of Vikings SI Insider gives his 53-man roster projection at the back-end of his most recent article - linkIn the same article, he also previews the 2020 Vikings season and ends up with a 9-7 record....which is somewhat in-line with what I expect: anywhere from 7-9 to 9-7....just missing out on the playoffs and stuck in the middle of the 1st Rd yet again...

Well, we know one person from the 2020 Draft who won't be making the 53-man roster.... Cole II was one of four 7th Rd draft picks by the Vikings in 2020....

4 highly touted Vikings rookies who may not make the 2020 roster The Minnesota Vikings had a ton of draft picks to work with last April. When the smoke cleared, they added 15 new players and 10 more undrafted free agents after it was all over. Many of these new Vikings players are locks to make the team. Justin Jefferson, Jeff Gladney, Ezra Cleveland, and Cameron Dantzler are just a few who are pretty much guaranteed a spot on the final roster. Some of these guys won’t just have a spot, but they’ll also have key roles on the team this season. No matter where they were drafted, some Minnesota rookies were generating a lot of buzz following their selections or signings this year. These players were thought to have very strong chances of making the team and even seeing significant playing time throughout the season. After a few weeks of this year’s Vikings training camp though, those optimistic feelings have begun to sour. Some of these players have had injuries or they just have not come close to living up to the hype they had back in April and early May. link

Not too many surprises in Ekstrom's final 53-man roster projection...the only one being Nevelle Clarke on the PS vs. the 53-man roster, I'm not 100% certain that Clarke clears waivers when he's released as CB's with his length and ability don't fall of trees and you can bet teams with CB issues (Cincy comes to mind given Waynes is out for most of 2020 and Alexander had an off-field issue) might try to poach Clarke before the Vikes have the ability to sign-him to their PS...I don't think it's smart to expose Clarke to the entire NFL; there's just too much potential there given that he showed well in TC with rookies having no preseason or OTA time...
Also, Lynch had a poor camp and with Ngakoue there isn't as many DL roster spot available so someone out there could be wanting to poach a 4th Rd draft pick, too, regardless of how he's looked...
There's also a chance w/ Quartney Davis not clearing waivers, either...

Sharpe has been somewhat of a disappointment, but it's no big deal for me because we didn't pay much to get him; only giving him a 1-yr deal at $1m, with only $675k of that $1m guaranteed. If he gets released, then the dead cap hit is only $675k - still stinks somewhat but it's not a big loss considering the minimal investment and we have other WR's who have stepped up - mainly Bisi and even Hollins.
I will say that Samia not beating out Elf for RG is more disappointing...Samia was a 4th Rd draft pick (mid Rd draft pick is a solid investment) and we really needed him to step up for our interior OL to improve....now that we're relying on Elf and Dozier as starters, we have to hope like heck Bradbury improved his pass protection from his rookie year to stand a chance...
Samia was injured early as TC got underway so hopefully he continues to improve as the season goes on and perhaps if Elf gets injured or is playing horribly then Samia can go in and show what he can do....but at this point, yeah, Samia is the biggest disappointment so far I'd say....
