Wow so awesome!!! Did anyone else shit a brick right after takeoff saying to themselves “it’s too slow”? I swear it looked like it was gonna fall back and crash. Also love the rocket recovery system that is some cool stuff I didn't shit a brick lol but I did wonder why it was so slow. Didn't take long though and it was moving out. It's all so amazing. Stage one return and land. crazy the capsule is so clean. No more buttons and switches. Really cool. Did anyone hear what happens to stage two? I assume it burns up in reentry but never heard for sure.

Even though I personally don’t believe the space program will match up to many expectations.i brought up my reasons earlier.
It’s still so impressive to watch. Whether I believe that space travel will never make Star Wars or Star Trek levels of space travel.
Taking off like this is impressive. Landing one on the moon more impressive, even trying for mars, Naughts, l

Watch it again! Launch and Falcon 9 returning to Earth
4:24 and 6:42 timestamps on this video.. the mouse just in front of the booster obviously enjoys being taken for a ride ~ just like all the viewers..
Will NASA ever figure out how to produce a video that doesn't have some discrepancy on whether it's Fact or Fiction? Then you have the landing.. now you don't see it, then you do? Historical moment not caught on video.. ok, i'm not buying any of it.

I had read that the Falcon 9 second stage was initially going to be reusable but I believe the technical challenge was to great for the current timeline. Here is a video of the landing test of the first stage of the heavy lift Falcon 9

Here is a explanation of why the video cuts when they use "of course I still love you" Side note anybody worried that the names of the 2 astronauts are Doug and Bob like the McKenzie Brothers?

STATEMENTS & RELEASES Presidential Message on Space Exploration Day, 2020 INFRASTRUCTURE & TECHNOLOGY Issued on: July 20, 2020 ALL NEWS Today, our Nation celebrates the essential role that American space exploration plays in the history and character of our country. We honor our brave astronauts and space industry professionals—both past and present—and we pledge to continue to lead the world in pioneering deeper into space, the stars, and beyond. This year’s observation of Space Exploration Day comes as we commence a new era of human space exploration. Following a nine-year hiatus, American astronauts once again launched into space from American soil on rockets proudly built by American workers. Furthermore, SpaceX Demonstration Mission 2 was the first crewed launch of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Commercial Crew program, marking the first time in history that a commercial company sent humans into orbit. These monumental feats the past year are tremendous strides forward in bringing our country’s space exploration efforts to remarkable new heights. To build on this momentum and reaffirm America’s position as the global standard bearer for innovation, and as the world’s greatest spacefaring Nation, my Administration has directed NASA to return to the Moon—this time to stay and to build a base of operators to get humans to Mars. Through NASA’s Artemis program, the United States will send the next man and the first woman to the surface of the Moon by 2024. Soon, the rover Perseverance will launch from Kennedy Space Center, bound for the Jezero Crater on Mars, lighting the way for our brave American astronauts to one day follow. Along with the helicopter Ingenuity, we will test powered flight on another world for the first time, unlocking the mysteries of the Red Planet in order to one day plant our great American Flag to proudly fly as a beacon of liberty and American creativity throughout the galaxy. On Space Exploration Day, we pause and pay tribute to the Nation’s legacy of leadership in space and to those who came before us—remembering those who have sacrificed so much for our country’s successes and vowing to honor their achievements by continuing the noble pursuit of space exploration and understanding in the 21st century. www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/presidential-message-space-exploration-day-2020/

Pretty cool video. They will have a helidrone to test out too. Can possibly fly ahead of rover and fond best routes to craters and stuff without having to slow movements and getting stick in sand.
