I think it would be a good idea to stay in lock down while we watch what happens in Wuhan for the next 60 days after they let those people out again.

Can you even imagine what would happen if this country stayed on lock down for 60 more days. The number of small businesses that would close permanently would be enormous. Unemployment payments would be through the roof. Domestic assaults would increase from people stuck inside. Keep the borders closed to foreign travelers, and reopen the country as soon as possible.

Stupid to put the whole country on that same template. Northern Minnesota is not New York City. Maybe all the farmers and truckers should take the next 60 days off as well?

2 more weeks top. People need to get back to work. Many small businesses will not be able to recover and go out of business forever. It's the flu. Media driven hysteria to crash the economy to make Trump look bad in hopes of getting the Democraps to win the election in November and push the Socialism bullshit

I could use 60 days off with more pay than I'm currently making(if I understood the 100% unemployment pay + $600 a week). Sure would beat delivering to grocery stores and hope I don't catch it from some hoarding shopper that use the trip for social hour, and then give my 84 year old mother.
I'm a little stressed... but hey good news, mom has surgery on the 21st so I get to go to a hospital where all the sick people are.
God Bless those working in the health care field.

We did voluntary furlough today for hourly workers and got 100 takers (out of 1,000). Its not permanent its only 2 weeks to preserve cash flow.
Here’s the trick with Fed assistance. If you make $15 and hour you will make around $25 an hour to not work. OK will pay $350 in unemployment and the Feds will pay $600. So you get $950 a week to not work. It saves cash flow and at end of 2 weeks 100% of them come back to work.
This is what Fed is doing trying to help businesses do temp furloughs so they can save cash flow and instead of long term layoffs companies will be able to stay in business.
We offered it by seniority so most senior got dibs. Pretty cool actually.

Very Blessed to still have a great paying job. The company moved us from 5 - 8 hours days to 4 -12 hour days, 4 on and 4 off, schedule. They split our 5 man crew down to 3 on my shift and 2 on the other until early June. Hope this crap goes away and they find a cure/preventative medicine to help or protect everyone. The country needs to get operating again.

I think it would be a good idea to stay in lock down while we watch what happens in Wuhan for the next 60 days after they let those people out again. You're perfectly free to lock yourself down for the next 60 days if you feel that's your best course of action. Many of us will commend your caution. Commend you, yes, but not join you. I'm retired and many of my days are "locked down" simply because we don't go anywhere, but even personally I want nothing to do with another two months of house arrest.
