I was watching a bit of coverage today and the Golf Network broadcasters said Tiger has to get into a tie for 3rd place to move into East Lake next week for the Tour Championship....and that's not going to happen with how many bodies are in front of him....

Tell me if I am wrong. I am not the biggest Tiger fan, much because of his past history. Sex addiction sickness.. I guess many people are sick... But I respect him as probably the greatest player of all time.but unfortunately, age, injury I believe has taken much away....I don’t think we will ever see Tiger anywhere near 75% of what he was, can he win a tournament, I will say yes, but they will be far and few between. Phil is in the same boat, we will not see those great Phil and a Tiger shows. tell me if I am wrong... I should know, seen enough of the past tournaments, his long game and fairways are excellent, But his putting sucks. Yesterday saw him miss a couple pretty Short puts. Like 5-6 footers. Seen him the past few tournaments do the same. i believe they said his putting ranked 61st. I don’t know if that was this tournament or this year. Maybe if he straitened out his game on the greens, maybe Tiger can prove me wrong and show me he has a little Tiger left in him.

There is 50 bodies ahead of him. A share more tied with him,,, just figure the odds, I can imagine the sports talk on network media talking about that if the miracle of this tournament was to happen.

Talent is still there but he skips too many due to back issues.

Unless it’s because of injury

The injuries keep him from practicing enough to stay sharp. He mostly goes into these cold turkey. Plus he changed putters not long ago.

Two of the greatest putts ever imo. Johnson 60 footer to push it to playoff. Rain a like 60 footer in plYoff to win, neither an easy long putt

I didn't see the finish yesterday V52 - just watched a little bit in the middle of the round (the weather was so nice out in western NY yesterday, 70's with no humidity)...I saw Rahm's 60 ft putt to win it in a playoff over Dustin - incredible putt, even if I don't care for the golfer.
I will say, I enjoy courses like the one this past weekend where the professionals don't shoot 20-under par to win. I like to see the thick rough and sloping greens that many of us "weekend warrior" golfers face on a normal golf course - none of the pansy, country-club shortened rough. I'm getting a little sick of the "big bombers" just driving it wherever they want and not paying a penalty for driving it wide of the fairway...it's ruining the game because all these young guys are just learning how to drive far and then just recover a little bit; there's no work on iron shots, chipping/sand saves or putting, at least not as much as their used to be. Players don't have to "think" their way around a golf course as much - they just have to learn how to hit it 300+ yds off the tee.

US Open starts Thu. Tiger goes early day 1, I think he normally does good when going early day 1.

Tiger and Phil can hang it up. Has beens.
Just kidding plundering, I know you and others are big Tiger fans, just ribbing..,although I doubt we will ever see the greatness from Tiger so many got used to. I always felt when Tiger was on the course. Everyone including phil in prime played for second best,.
Phil I am tending to lean more towards the time for him to retire, He is 50. Maybe all that Rhumatory (sp) arthritis is bothering him bad, he does not look like a happy phil..I watched like his first 9 holes. Phil started out -2 after 2 holes. To finish second worst at like 143 out of 144 players....At a plus 9.... i bet the first 9 holes he was way off the fairway every hole except one. That was at the edge of the fairway. The only reason he was -2 after 2 was because he pulled a magic shot out of his hat from the rough for a birdie.
Johnson is down some this week. Rooting for a few., Johnson, Thomas, Webb. Rory, or Fowler.
Only one I cheer against is I am not a fan of Rahm.
