Rivers And L.A. Charged For Upset Over Vikings With eight losses on the year by only one possession, the Los Angeles Chargers may feel like 2019 was a year that got crashed by bad fortune. But after a 45-10 beatdown of the Jacksonville Jaguars on linkActually I was confident, but having read the article, this sounds like a real trap game now. :-(

We are not good enough to take any team for granted. The Rams are on our ass, and the Chargers are definitely a team that's better than their record.

If they lose to the chargers, I hope they miss the playoffs. That might be the only way they clean house.

The Chargers are a good team. They were 12-4 last year and won a road playoff game. This year they had a lot of injuries early on and lost a bunch of close games. Rivers had a terrible stretch. They have a lot of talent and if we come out flat we can find ourselves down a couple of TDs quickly.

How come i am worrying about a four win team if I recall right Road game Grass Time Zone Didn't other teams win against them when it was a road game, grass, and the same time zone? I'm with VF52: why are we worried about a 5 win team? Are you saying we're that bad? I don't think so! Every single week someone is terrified of the next week's opposition. People, NO 9-4 team should be terrified of a 5-8 team. If their D was as good as people pretend here, they'd be one hell of a lot better than 8-5. Same goes for the QB. Can the Vikings lose? Sure, just like they did against the Bills last year. Shit happens. Every team lays an egg once in a while. That's why there's only been one team to go undefeated. That doesn't change the fact there is NO logical reason for all the worry and fear of a team already out of the POs and playing out the season. They may not be tanking for a better draft position, but you can bet it's at least in their minds, especially with rivers reaching the end of his career.

Grass/road: Bears loss KC loss Seattle loss Very true, but are you stating those were the only factors in those games? Chicago was one of the early games where Zimmer thought it was the 1930's and "3 yards and a cloud of dust" would win in 2019. Zimmer got his butt handed to him by reed, simple as that. Allowed two final drives by Kc where they tied with a FG and came right back and won on a FG. Grass and road had nothing to do with it. Seattle in Seattle? Who the Hell wins in Seattle? Russel is 6-0 against the Vikings, almost ALL of those games in Seattle. Again, road and grass had nothing to do with it, IMO. Actually, all this discussion is our opinions, Plundering, so no one is "right." I don't think you chose the best examples for your argument, but that doesn't mean you're not right on a bunch of other games. I just don't think you are on these particular games.

Sunday ticket is free for the rest of the year, so if you have direct tv you can catch the game there.

I was just looking at our past problems with grass/road games more sarcastically than factually. You make great points and I agree with you

'Will Be Purple And Gold In That Stadium,' SportsLine's Kenny White On Vikings-Chargers Matchup By the time the Vikings play the Chargers in Los Angeles, the terrain in the NFC North may have already shifted. Regardless of who wins the early game, the Vikings need to take care of business in the later game. And the matchup lines up nicely for them. As SportsLine NFL analyst Kenny White notes,... link
