The motivation to have the Special Counsel go on throughout 2018 was the Midterm elections to ensure the Democrats gain control of the House and their Oversight Committees so the investigations could continue...there were more susceptible Republicans in suburban districts that the Democrats could flip and they needed it to stay that way because there were too many Senate Democrats up for reelection for them to flip the upper chamber...even though Democratic strategists like to say now that they took control of the House on the strength of their policies, nearly all of them ran an anti-Trump agenda as part of their platform and it was easy with the Special Counsel still in-place....
And with House Oversight investigations surely to continue into the 2020 Election, Democratic candidates can use the same tactic that Trump did in 2016 when Hillary was under investigation: paint him as a "flawed" candidate that's un-electable due to being under investigation....

Yes you should know by now... but yet you keep supporting those assclowns and making yourself look bad in the process. You aren't a bad guy, you just support bad people and bad policies.

It seems like there might be some momentum to start investigating the real criminals. Kellyanne Conway has something to say.
Check out about the 6:30 mark if you don't want to watch the whole thing:

Jack knows stuff: Profile picture Jack Posobiec 🇺🇸 @jackposobiec Subscribe 2 hours ago, 7 tweets, 1 min read Read on Twitter Bookmark Save as PDF Short Thread: Most people are looking at this from the outside But was actually in the intelligence community 2010-2017 Through Benghazi, Arab Spring, ISIS, Ukraine, Crimea, North Korea nukes, and finally the Trump campaign I’ve never spoken about my personal experiences But maybe it’s time for that to change The IC has many good people in it who want to do the right thing But it is also a hornet’s nest of backstabbing, government waste, and deep confirmation biases Particularly in its leadership It doesn’t surprise me at all that many in the IC were “convinced” Trump was a Russian asset The IC talks about ‘analysis of competing hypotheses’ But that’s a fairy tale It’s now the biggest groupthink echo chamber in the world They get their opinions and worldview from CNN and WaPo And everything else must be made to “fit the frame” If something doesn’t fit, it’s discarded, or in some cases, accused With Trump and Trump supporters, we became easy targets for senior IC leadership that put politics over country And used disinfo to attack and investigate patriotic American who simply wanted to do the right thing and make our country great again It’s all coming out I haven’t even begun to tell this story threadreaderapp.com/thread/1110529035082366978.html

dailycaller.com/2019/03/27/msnbc-rachel-maddow-tv-ratings-russia-collusion/MSNBC host Rachel Maddow lost half of a million viewers in just one week after special counsel Robert Mueller’s report indicated that he did not find enough evidence to support collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Maddow has been one of the most prominent voices on the collusion conspiracy, spending most of her programs over the past two years on allegations that President Donald Trump coordinated with the Russian government to win the 2016 presidential election. Maddow struggled to hold back tears as she delivered her opening monologue last Friday, clearly stunned that Mueller did not bring any indictments against the president or his family. (RELATED: Rachel Maddow Spends Opening Segment About Mueller Report On Verge Of Tears) The implosion of the Russian collusion narrative damaged more than just Maddow’s ego — it, at least temporarily, destroyed her ratings. “The Rachel Maddow Show” on MSNBC delivered monster ratings for the network, cementing the cable host as the left-wing foil to Fox News’ Sean Hannity. Maddow consistently finished 1st or 2nd in overall cable news ratings over the past year, sometimes garnering more than 3 million viewers. But according to The Daily Beast, Maddow’s show dropped 500,000 viewers in just one week after the Mueller report dropped. “Maddow, who has consistently vied for the first or second top-rated cable news program, was sixth on Monday evening, down almost 500,000 total viewers from the previous Monday, as was MSNBC’s second top-rated program in primetime, ‘The Last Word With Lawrence O’Donnell,'” The Daily Beast reported. Hannity nearly doubled Maddow’s ratings this past Monday, delivering just more than 4 million viewers compared to Maddow’s 2.5 million.
