I think these stats tell you everything you need to know about the first round, QBs from 2000 to 2019 got a second contract only 46% of the time. So just because you are the first pick, or the second.... its all about projecting correctly into the NFL and just because you succeed in college it doesn't mean squat in the NFL. The main thing with QBs in my opinion is if they can run the offense like its meant to be run and you have the physical ability to make every throw when needed. JJ has the physical ability but does he have the mental ability and make up to be that guy. I think he has just as good of shot as any of the other QBs. I honestly didn't watch any of these kids but for a few minutes here and there. Saw the bears QB act like a child in two different games because they were going to lose each game and to me he didn't look like much of a leader. I watched the college championship game for a little but don't really remember JJ. That was my extent of seeing the QBs from the first round. I think the Vikings lucked in the first round getting the two players they did. They both have the potential to be very good players and it was kind of nice seeing a GM go and get players instead of trading away good picks to get all the later round picks. I really didn't have any issue with the moves he made but we will see if they turn into anything because his track record and hitting on draft picks has been suspect. The other thing is it sounds like the QB was basically KOCs pick which gives me a little more confidence in the pick. He wanted to keep Kirk so I know he knows how to judge a good QB

The thing with JJ...and it was mentioned in the article on the third reply in this topic. I don't think he's a great processor. I saw a bunch of times on his tape where he is just throwing it and does not see defenders but is getting away with it. Yes, you will see that with all college qb's. I actually watched a few michigan games this year because I like Harbaugh. I noticed the same thing tbh. He is a couple years away from a starting NFL qb. Will they give him enough time to learn? I doubt it.

IMO, and that's why we are here, I never understood the CW hype. He always looked like a whiny average college qb. There is no way this guy is right. Caleb Williams is an NFL bust. I am sticking with that comment.A bust the likes we have not seen since JaMarcus Russell. J J hopefully does not see the field this year. If he does it could get very ugly.
