Finished Yellowstone last week, it’s pretty good. The Boys is a dark take on superhero’s. It’s different but I like it. Movikx, where do find Yellowstone to watch?

I just read through this thread for the first time. Some good suggestions out there. I'm currently watching through the five seasons of HBO's "The Wire." It was a blind buy, because it had such rave reviews. For those not familiar, it is a cop drama in Baltimore circa 2004 - 2009. All about crime and political corruption. It's well made, but one of those shows with so many characters, plots and sub-plots that I have to read on-line episode summaries after each viewing to make sure I understand everything that is going on. To the extent that it is accurate, it really presents a depressing picture of kids growing up in low income housing in a big, democratic city. It's one of those that is best binge watched rather than one or two episodes a week (I'm retired, so I have the time ). Building on other previous posts, I would count among my favorite TV shows: Lost Twin Peaks (including the return on Showtime) Sopranos Game of Thrones The Leftovers Watchmen (The Watchmen movie is one of my favorites, so I bought this HBO series and watched through it twice earlier this year with better impressions than some of you, I really like things by Damon Lindelof (LOST/Leftovers). The masks and violence against police were pretty ironic). I'm sure there are several others that I am forgetting.

Yeah, there’s not much out there now. I’m caught up on most everything. I’ve binged a lot of shows over the last several years... Till the networks get off their asses I’m pretty much in wait mode. With what they’re planning on doing to shows like Chicago PD I’m not sure I’ll recognize most of the shows and I probably won’t be watching. According to this article the lefts fake narrative will be slammed down the viewers throat. “It sounds like there are some changes coming for the Intelligence unit on Chicago P.D. And a new recurring character is connected to them.” “The NBC procedural drama has added Nicole Ari Parker as Deputy Superintendent Samantha Miller in Season 8, Deadline reports. The character, who was originally from Atlanta, is described as "a progressive, ardent proponent of police reform" and someone who "wants to help Voight and Intelligence adapt to the new reality, but will not tolerate breaches of the new police guidelines and protocols." www.tvinsider.com/950200/chicago-pd-season-8-nicole-ari-parker-samantha-miller/

I never watched Got. Maybe this winter when recovering and retired. I'll need something to occupy my time in winter. Or I could get all the newest reloading manuals.

Similar to the movie quality on Netflix, ( which i often refer to as less than "B" grade movies ) You can usually find something to watch on lunchflix dot com.
If you find a title to watch, you'll have to close a few popups.. but once it starts, it streams fairly well most of the time.

I never watched Got. Maybe this winter when recovering and retired. I'll need something to occupy my time in winter. I'm old school. I hate streaming and other similar on-demand video sources. If I'm going to invest the time to watch a good show, I buy it on Blu-ray. If I'm not going to like it, I don't buy it! (that's a joke....) The entire eight seasons of GOT can currently be had for under $150 on Blu-ray. If a person drinks the 4K Kool-aid, that adds about another $50. You might sign up for HBO for one month and watch a few episodes. If, like most others, you get hooked, than I would recommend just buying it. It is as close to infinitely rewatchable as any show I've seen (maybe LOST would come out ahead, but not by much). As I mentioned up thread, I'm currently watch the five Seasons of "The Wire." (finished Season four last night) It is definitely worth my time to watch, but the persistent claims that it is "the greatest TV series ever" are, IMHO, slightly exagerated. It's currently ranked sixth on the IMDB top 250 list. www.imdb.com/chart/toptv?ref_=helpms_ih_gi_siteindexGOT is at 11.
